How My Equestrian Clothing Brand Made It Into Vogue - From Dream to Reality

When I first started designing equestrian clothing, I didn’t imagine Vogue would ever reach out to me, let alone feature my brand in its pages. But here we are, and honestly, it feels surreal.

I still remember the email notification pinging on my phone. I opened it and read the words “Vogue would love to showcase your brand…” twice, just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. It was one of those moments where time freezes for a second, and you can feel every emotion all at once: disbelief, pride, gratitude, and a bit of “pinch‑me” excitement.

It Started With Staying True to What Matters

From day one, I knew I wanted to build something different. Not just another piece of equestrian wear, but clothing that celebrates the rider - that feels effortless in the barn, flattering in the saddle, and functional beyond it.

We leaned into what made us unique:

  • Seamless designs that move with your body, not against it

  • Practical pieces that perform in the real world

  • A style that feels modern, confident, and unpretentious

We never chased trends just because they were “hot.” Instead, we focused on quality, comfort, and authenticity - values that reflect the riders we design for and the riders we are.

And I think that’s part of why Vogue took notice.

When Vogue Called… Literally

After years of small steps, late nights editing patterns, conversations with riders, and lots of trial and error, Vogue reached out saying they wanted to feature our collection in a Luxury Pets campaign.

I won’t lie, I reread that email. Then forwarded it to the team. Then stood in the kitchen and quietly said, “Wow.”

It wasn’t a fluke. It wasn’t luck. It was the result of sticking to the things that matter most - our values, our riders, and our belief that equestrian wear can be both beautiful and functional.

This Is Your Moment Too

Here’s the part I want you to know... you made this happen.

Every share, every comment, every message telling us how a piece made you feel better in the saddle - that matters. It all adds up. You believed in us before Vogue did. That’s the real triumph.

So thank you. From the bottom of my heart:

Thank you for supporting our journey.
Thank you for believing in thoughtful design.
Thank you for being part of this community.

We wouldn’t be in Vogue without you.

What’s Next?

We’re beyond excited for what’s ahead. But as we grow, one thing will always stay the same - creating equestrian clothing that’s:

 Designed for riders
 Rooted in comfort
 Built with purpose

We’ll keep pushing boundaries, and I hope you’ll stick with us for the next chapter.

With so much gratitude,
Sarah, Founder of Gal‑Up
